Admission Process

Admission Process for BA / BCom / BSc Programs

(Affiliated to University of Mumbai)

 

Y&M AKI Women's College offers admission to First Year BA, BCom, and BSc programs as per the guidelines and academic calendar prescribed by the University of Mumbai.

All admissions are strictly merit-based and conducted through the online centralized admission portal of the University of Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Class 12 (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Online Pre-Admission Registration (University of Mumbai Portal)
  • Visit the official University of Mumbai admission portal: https://muadmission.samarth.edu.in
  • Register and create your student profile.
  • Fill the Pre-Admission online form.
  • Select our college and the program(s) you wish to apply for (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc).
  • Submit the form and download a copy for reference.

College-Level Application
  • In addition to the University portal, students are also required to fill the college's online admission form available on our official website.
  • Upload necessary documents and pay the application processing fee (if applicable).

Merit List & Admission Rounds
  • Admission will be offered strictly on the basis of merit, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Class 12).
  • The college will publish merit lists as per the schedule notified by the University of Mumbai.
  • Shortlisted students must complete the document verification and fee payment process within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.

Note: Students must keep the following documents ready (self-attested copies along with originals for verification):

Transfer Certificate (TC) / Leaving Certificate (LC)

Aadhaar Card (for identity verification)

Recent Passport Size Photographs (2–4 copies)

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)

Migration Certificate (for students from other boards/states)

ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits ID) – Mandatory as per UGC guidelines
